I admit Elle’s performance isn’t stellar, but this isn’t Aurora’s story. This is Maleficent’s, and Angelina Jolie rocks this! I was skeptical about this movie until now and I get the feeling I’ll enjoy both of them more in their roles as more info comes out.

when i heard Elle was going to play Aurora i thought she would be a horrible Aurora but now that i see her playing the role i think she will do a bit better. But i was hoping the hair stylist could even get remotely close to perfecting Aurora’s FLAWLESS hair

See, I’m one of those weirdos that actually really enjoyed Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. And I really enjoyed Avatar as well (though the plot was very generic). I think from here on out we can say most Disney live action films based on magical stories will be heavy on CGI. Hopefully they’ll be moving forward instead of backward though. Oz was seriously painful.

I guess I kind of agree with you on Elle Fanning but still…she’s just so not cute to me at all. Wow, I sound like a terrible human being. haha

In reply to Cole Millions. I doubt they're going to follow the same exact plot as the original story so I would probably try to forget the original Disney Sleeping Beauty (to some extent) since they're going to be taking their own liberties.

I’m also kinda worried for the comparisons with Oz and Alice in Wonderland, but since the director of Maleficent is the same production designer for both films, Avatar, and this film, it’s almost certain it will be CGI heavy, which I don’t really want.

Regarding Elle Fanning, I don’t find her particularly cute either, but I give them the credit for casting a girl who actually looks 16 years-old, they could totally went with Amanda Seyfried or Emma Stone for that matter.

LOVE the Disney logo transformed to the Sleeping Beauty castle! And Jolie’s eyes and voice! Woah. I really like Elle Fanning, but I think her British accent sounds a bit forced.

In reply to Brianna. I do wonder if this film will make Princess Aurora more interesting. I don't hate, or even dislike, the original character. I just think it's safe to say she was pretty bland. Nonetheless, the trailer looks great! :)
