It’s not really stop motion. It’s computer animated to look like stop motion.

The voice acting isn’t thrilling me and the story seems pretty done-to-death. But I do commend the stop-motion animation because I know how taxing a job that can be.

It looks hilarious, the animation is top-notch, and it has potential to be a really fun ride.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller have really surprised me with their last two movies, Cloudy and Jump Street. 2 of the funniest movies I’ve seen in the last few years. So overall, I’m looking forward to their new movie and return to animation.
