I was reminded of Family Guy with the trailer. In that using a person’s time machine to impress a female. That was a plot line of an episode of Family Guy.

I love the
idea of different designs in each time-period, though it could be really
distracting from the story.

Definitely one of the more promising DreamWorks offerings, but I worry that some of the charm of the original cartoon will be lost in translation. I’m not sold on the design of it yet – I think it could have been really amazing if the whole design of each time period could be unique, a la “Almost There” from the Princess and the Frog.
