I was recently at WDW and during the learn to draw a character thing I went to, the guy said The Princess and the Frog was made with the intention of it being the start of a new Disney renaissance, and when it flopped, they said the heck with it and stopped doing 2D movies. I'm not sure it's true, but that's just what the instructor said.

Well Maui Tikitikiataranga – you’re correct AGAIN!!!! This time Disney have gone for ANOTHER NON-POLYNESIAN ACTRESS – Naomi Sequeira for the role of Moana – and “YES” it’s another – (Australian) Asian (Chinese-Filipino) – what’s with the Asian thing John & Ron? Asian is NOT POLYNESIAN! Their singing is SOOooooo miles apart! Well one thing is certain – THERE ARE GOING TO BE A LOT OF VERY ANGRY Polynesians’ in Australia wanting answers from Naomi, she’ll need more than just a yellow belt in Ju Jitsu to fend off thousands’ of ANGRY Polys’ over there in Sydney NSW!

I couldn’t care less about anything else right now- if she has a love life, the movie’s plot, the subliminal messages, the actual moral, etc; I just want to know if it’s 2D animation or CGI/3D. Or a “hybrid mix”? xD I mean, PoC casting matters as well, too, but I’m pretty much the only one here who seems to really ache for the animation 😀

If Disney doesn’t put PoC as voiceovers and make the characters white-washed, I’M GOING TO BE SO PISSED!!! I’LL DO THE HAKA ON DISNEY AND STAMP ALL OVER THEIR FACES IF THEY GET ANYTHING WRONG!
