I think the cover is excellent. It contrasts the two sisters very well: nocturnal vs. diurnal, mysterious and enigmatic vs. open and obvious, snowflake motif vs. flower motif, fair vs. ruddy-complexioned, elegant vs. rustic. Also, note that Anna's face is mirrored; thus, it's as if there's a mirror between the two sisters, with one (as it were) a reflection of the other. But most important of all, as the O.P. mentions, is the fact that it establishes Elsa as the co-protagonist of the film.

I'm sure it's going to be a beautiful book, but this cover worries me because so many people have been criticizing the familiar design if the sisters' faces. I would worry it wouldn't entice them to take a closer look at all the concept art has to offer. Hopefully seeing the film will change that.

Those were my thoughts, although I clearly didn't articulate them very well. I actually just updated the article to reflect my sentiments about why it's that way before reading this comment. Haha.

I may be overanalyzing, but is the "Transparent Elsa" effect done on purpose to show her drifting away from Anna and the rest of the world? Also, those crazy Anna eyes are really beginning to grow on me! :)
