I actually think this is a good thing for the company creatively. If Pixar is trying to put out more and more content the quality will inevitably fall. That’s why I’m also against them trying to do 2 films a year. I’d much rather wait and get top quality than get a bunch of okay stuff now.

Why is there so much bad news from Disney Animation these days?! First we lose our Phineas and Ferb movie, we miss out on Pixar in 2014, and now this?

As a kid who grew up in the 90s and got so much joy from all kinds of animation, it makes me so depressed to hear all this news. Hearing about dreamworks layoffs, disney 2d layoffs, pixar canada lay offs, not to mention miyazaki and glen keane retiring. This past year or so has really made me want to just sink :/
