Ooo, haha. Gotcha. So we started our podcast in February 2012. We started the website with it as an official place to post the podcasts. Within a month or so, I slowly started writing news articles for the site. And we’ve grown from there!

To be qualified for the awards, you have to had published an episode by Jan 1 of that year. And since our first episode was in February, we were unable to submit. But not anymore! 😀

PodcastAwards is in its 9th year giving the award, so 2005 was the first year they gave it out. Podcasts have been around even longer (some even say they were available in some iteration in the 90s); however, they really didn’t gain popularity and traction until 2005 when Apple included them in iTunes.
