I totally know what you mean! Every time she says that (in the previews) my mind takes a trip down memory lane to the very first episode where she tears her parents’ house down showing off yelling “I’m the Avatar, Deal with it!”. lol. So what’s changed?

Maybe it has to do more so with her feelings of inaptitude. Before her was Aang who was 12 years old fighting a 100 year war. Aang took down King Ozai after just barely learning all 4 bending styles. And here she is, halfway through her teens and she’s still having trouble air bending.

Not to mention, you must really go through some serious identity issues being the Avatar. Like you are the same spirit as all of these other beings, but completely different. You have your own ideas, styles, morals, but you represent hundreds if not thousands of other people for the greater. It’s enough to make anyone doubt themselves.

Either way I’m SO PUMPED! And seeing “September 13” on the screen made me realize how incredible SOON season 2 will air! YES!

I’ve gotta admit, I enjoy it here and there especially when it throws a wrench into the works but I’m more so looking forward to Korra’s journey for sure.

I suppose “Official Thing” is more of the phrase I was looking for. Duh I watched the final episode! But the fact of the matter is that Mako has always played the responsible card. Not to mention, Korra wanting to be a great Avatar could get in the way if they actually have a relationship. Things are always more complicated than at first glance, you should know that from watching the original series.
