In reply to <a href="https://www.rotoscopers.com/2013/08/26/rumor-bob-peterson-no-longer-directing-the-good-dinosaur/#comment-1571">Morgan Stradling</a>.

You have to remember that both Toy Story 2 and Ratatouille had to replace the director to make a better film. This isn't anything new. Yes it's always sad to see a director removed from a project they put so much work into, but if that is what's necessary to make this film work then it needs to be done. I don't think the "magically, happy studio" ever existed. We shouldn't lose heart, just go watch Toy Story 2 and Ratatouille again :)

I think some people just aren't the fans they used to be. Pixar hasn't changed. I think it was pretty much confirmed when it "Director Peter Sohn and Producer Denise Ream were announced at the D23 expo. Still, I doubt that Bob Peterson will have a grudge against Pixar like Brenda Chapman sort of has now. He's been there since the beginning and hopefully Pixar allows him to stay and maybe he can pursue other stuff. I just can't see him miserably posting rude or negative comments online like some let-go directors and Pixar skeptics who call themselves fans. He's too good and nice to do that.

Some people just aren't Pixar fans like they claim to be. I'm glad I am, though.

Figures Pablo would find a way to squeeze a Brad Bird reference into his articles. It's almost akin to finding A113 in a Pixar film! :P

No! I was so excited to see Bob get his chance directing a feature-length film for Pixar. I don't want him to get shunned like Brenda.

Why is this practice of removing the director one year before a film's release date becoming so common at Pixar? It's a bit disheartening. Perhaps, the magically, happy studio that we all love, isn't the place it used to be. :(
