I also enjoy the interviews and thank the Rotoscopers and Mr. Schreck for taking the time to talk about the film. As a child I didn’t realize how much time, effort, and money goes into making a moving work of art for big-budget films. Lately with so many “Art of the Film” books available and animators who are willing (and permitted!) to show their sketches and art concepts to the public, viewers can become more aware of the finer details and labors behind the movies. It seems to me that animation is like cultivating a crop of rare flowers. Nothing just “falls into place”; you have to work at it every step of the way to create something beautiful and outstanding.

I really enjoy listening to both. I love hearing the three of you interact during a discussion. It’s really obvious you’re all good friends, because you’re all so genuine with one another. The three of you have a lot of fun, and I definitely don’t want that to go away or hear less of it. I do very much enjoy interviews though too. I’ve listened to most of Chris Oatley’s interviews and the ones on Animation Fascination. I find them really intriguing since it’s not very often you get to hear the perspective of someone who worked on an animated film. Maybe you guys could put up a poll? I know I really enjoy interviews, but I’m also one of those weirdos that enjoys listening to the audio commentary on animated films!

Question: would you want more interview episodes? We don’t want to talk away from the discussion episodes, which many of the listeners love. But interviews are just another way to deep dive into the movies we love. Hmmm.

Listened to this on my morning walk this morning! I really enjoyed it even though I haven’t seen the documentary or The Thief in the Cobbler. (I enjoyed The Thief and the Cobbler podcast you guys did too!) I love it when you guys have interviews with people working in the field. Can’t wait for your upcoming podcasts.
