In reply to Esther. Frozen seems to be the only film pushing any artistic boundaries. I'm pretty disappointed with the concept art Pixar is putting out. Just once I would like them to break outside of the realistic look for backgrounds.

Hands down I’m excited for “Frozen” and the Disney twist of a story focused on two sisters. The fairy tale setting and snow-covered backgrounds look especially romantic for a holiday film.

I have not seen Brother Bear but the bear transformation just wasn’t original enough for me.

While I thought most plot points were VERY predictable, I left with 3 questions.

1. Why didn’t they just make this a musical? That opening scene (which I thought looked cheap) called for an I want song.

2. Where did the damn witch go?

3. Why did they spend so much freaking time showing us how great an archer she is? It’s not like she used those skills as any sort of payoff in the end.

The characters of Big Hero 6:

The hero of Big Hero 6, aptly named Hiro, is a 14-year-old tech genius who must assemble his own team when the designs for Micro-bots fall into the hands of a super villain. Armed with mechanical marbles, the team includes Gogo, a bike messenger, Wasabi, a sushi chef, Honey Lemon, a glamorous chemist and part-time barista, Fred, a dude who just loves comics, and of course Baymax … repurposed into a warrior.

I’m very excited for “Zootopia” (although I hope they change the name). It seems so interesting and compelling.

The problem I have with “Inside Out” is that it seems like a full-length version of Disney’s “Reason and Emotion” short from the ’40s.
