I loved this movie but agree with you totally. kinda seemed to go against the spirit of the show. still cute though. I want a movie too! a real one. I don't know. EG just seemed kinda like selling out. at least they didn't make the girls have to find dates. for some odd reason I feel the urge to go dig out my mothers original Barbie board game...

I completely agree with you. EG was missing the ADVENTURE that made MLP:FiM so great. I expected a movie to have a more epic plotline...but alas, it had none.

Kind of surprised there is zero comments here. What put me off the most about the movie is that they decided to do base the majority of the plot on high school/prom/interpersonal relationships. I get that they are aimming for the "young girl" demographic, but the success of the MLP:FiM series has shown that girls are interested in shows with adventure. The fact that they reused tired plot lines that are stereotypically girly is frankly insulting. I would have liked to see a villain team up movie with Discord, Crysalis and King Sombre. It would have made for an exciting movie that would have pleased both the younger fans and the bronies. Instead it became High School Musical 4: Pander Harder
