It was released a little later on the Mewtwo Returns DVD, but it would still be nice to have spliced back into the movie. That recent blu-ray release didn’t have it, unfortunately. In fact, it didn’t even include the beginning of that segment with the fossil being found and having the cloning process shown. It just starts off with the opening narration instead.

ok, but understand that as a listener, i do not know when or why that happens in the movie, so it comes off as a spoiler & causes me to stop listening. just be mindful of talking about brand new movies when typing the highlights. great show otherwise

Actually, I just spoke with Mason and he said what he said that what he said is not a spoiler at all. It happens very early in the movie and has nothing to do with the ending.
