I just watched the film yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I completely did miss the fact that it shares many similarities with "Ratatouille". Personally, I went in there just expecting it to be okay, and ended up having a great time, not because my expectations were low but because as Morgan points out, there were some really nice cultural references that I took to heart, not at all offensive. It was a lovely change to see Mexican men portrayed as loving and endearing people, vs. the macho men thug wannabes traditionally portrayed in all cinema. Though definitely not a 5 star film, I would go with a 3.5 star rating or 4, because I was the loudest 25 year old child in the cinema :D

Just saw the movie and it was better than I expected. While its not the best Dreamworks film its also not their worst. There are a few similarities between Turbo and Ratatouille but I think Turbo had enough to make it its own thing.

But that's just me. I am one of the rare people who likes Antz better A Bugs Life...and also thought Madagascar was better than The Wild.

Meh. To each his own right?

Well, if Morgan Stradling says to give this film a chance, I'll give it a chance; but I'm pretty sure that I'll be disappointed.
