Pixar has not made any bad films. I really hope Pixar doesn't consider opinions online because they are doing fine just the way they are, and to read them would mess things up for sure. I disagree with most online about Cars 2. I think it was great, up to Pixar's standards, and the good news is most people thought so too as it went on to make over $559 worldwide, regardless of toy sales. Brave was also great, as was Monsters University.

I don't really like the Pixar "fandom" these days, they seem to put stipulations on what they "think" it should be and come off as close-minded to me. My dream is still to work at Pixar and I think I can do that by ignoring the comments speak unfavorably about the Pixar films - any of them. Including Cars 2, which I like better than Toy Story 3 (also a film I love). That and still continuing to follow their philosophy.

I say Pixar has nothing to worry about. I hope they continue to believe in themselves, they have done that very well in 14 years so far in my opinion.

Pixar apologists don't quite get it. I'm a grown man, I had no reason to suspect I'd ever care about animated films for the rest of my life, but I heard about Ratatouille because Patton Oswalt was in it and from there I was hooked. Wall-E, Up, and Toy Story 3 were some of the best movies I've ever seen. Pixar defied the limitations of their genre, just because they were making animated children's movies didn't mean they turned in perfunctory storylines and throwaway films. Brave was a movie for little kids that no adult really has any reason watching. If that's what you want Pixar to create, yeah, wonderful. But don't be so surprised that people who love movies don't want that incredible "golden age" Pixar run to end.

Their first film Free Birds already looks Meh, so i'm not very confident in that film; Plus, if Pixar's film's too similar, than they'll straight up cancel it. Remember Newt, that one was cancelled for having a similar plot to Rio.

It upsets me that critics and audiences are closing their minds to Pixar's newest films. I know they're not as "whimsical" or heart-felt (although, I think Brave was) as some of their previous films, but they're still really great films and proves that the studio is still working hard to bring us fantastic and unique films. I think that people should stop comparing all of Pixar's newer films to the Toy Story trilogy because, guess what, they aren't Toy Story! With the exception of Cars 2 (which is probably the main reason people have become so skeptical of Pixar), I have to say their last films were really great and deserve more credit. Are they on the level of some of Pixar's older stuff? Not necessarily, but they are certainly good. I haven't lost faith in Pixar at all. One less-than-favorable film won't turn me off of one of the best animation studios today.

"That door is closed. I made the right decision to leave and firmly closed that door. I have no desire to go back there. The atmosphere and the leadership doesn’t fit well with me."
