It’s sad how underrated Hunchback of Notre Dame is. It’s the only Disney movie I’ve ever seen that nods towards Christianity while still making a point that there are hypocritical Christians as well as shunned “sinners” who pray to God (Esmerelda). It’s beautifully-animated, and Frollo’s song Hellfire is honestly the best Disney villain song I’ve ever heard. It sends chills down your back. It also has Beauty and the Beast’s moral of not judging a book by it’s cover and that true beauty comes from within. I would say this movie is probably my third favorite Disney movie, with number one being Beauty and the Beast and number two being The Lion King.

Fantasia is more overrated than underrated. Robin hood and he Rescuers are just dull and childish. the aristocats and treasure planet are ok, but not great. But I love Hunchback, the Emperor’s New Groove and the princess and the frog.

2. Rescuers Down Under (Why didn’t they put this on there?!)
3. The Princess and the Frog
4. Winnie the Pooh (2011) it’s a crime that NOBODY SAW IT because it would be a classic
5. Treasure Planet

7. Mulan (I know almost everyone has seen it, but I feel like it’s been overlooked)

Honorable Mention: Sleeping Beauty
This movie isn’t in the least bit underrated, but everyone looks at it as a girly bland movie, but I’m a guy and I got so much into it I forgot to eat lunch! The colors are stunning, the climax is enthralling, the characters are engaging (Philip and Aurora are the blandest Disney characters ever, but THEY’RE NOT THE MAIN CHRACTERS! They’re just little prop tools! The real main characters are the fairies and Maleficent!

As a guy, can I just say The Little Mermaid rules? Haha. Sure it’s not as epic is The Lion King or as enchanting as Beauty and the Beast, but it’s great! Not underrated at all! And maybe Ariel doesn’t learn her “lesson”, but it’s a reminder that if you try, your dreams can come true! #DisneyPhilosophy 😉

In reply to Gary Wright. I personally think mermaid is underrated, yep i know. It started the disney renaissance but its always looked at as the girly one of the bunch and boys arent into it, also alot of people hate it because of Ariel, saying she doesn't learn her lesson.
