in the commercial, it seemed the voices might have been changed? I don’t remember them being quite so “little mermaid” style wistful…seems like they were deeper before?
(I could totally be wrong…but I miss the softness and depth of that era of film and animation…then again, I love the music in the Tiki Room at Disneyworld!

This is one I haven’t added to my collection yet but Aladdin is long overdue for a re-release. My kids are going to see the Disneyland show before they ever see the movie.

In reply to NA. Typically they do Blu-Ray/DVD combos, but this is 2014...Blu-Ray players aren't expensive now.

I am glad they are re-releasing it. I didn’t get it back in 2008. I will say the diamond edition of The Little Mermaid didn’t look all that great to me. I already had the DVD from back in 2006 and I can’t tell much of a difference. To top that off, they ended up putting Part of Your World back together in the wrong order. I was able to send my “defective” Blu-Ray and DVD back and they very speedily sent me a replacement. I have watched the Blu-Ray and it is fixed, but have yet to check the DVD.

Anyway, I really want Aladdin, but I can see why they are releasing it again for promoting Maleficent. Maleficent will probably come out on Blu-Ray about the same time. Just hope they do Aladdin next year. I love sharing these movies with my little girls!

hopefully they will make it 3D… that will be a big surprise, as they recently did with Little Mermaid. only 3 Vault collections are 3D and this would be a beautiful touch…
