I saw this movie this past Saturday and feel the same way. The trailers were amazing and truly looked “epic.” However, I do feel like something felt like it was missing. Maybe it was the story, maybe it was the characters, who knows. However, the animation was fantastic and I really loved the music/score. Epic wasn’t a horrible movie. It kept me entertained for the full length of the film, but I’m not sure how much replay value it has. I’m more likely to reach for another movie before this one. I’d say this movie is definitely worth watching once, but not sure it will go down in history as a “classic.” It’s a shame too, it had so much potential!
