people in the seats? In the Disney Renaissance they kept names of the girls in
e.g. “The Little Mermaid” and “Pocahontas”. Maybe because it WAS the Disney Renaissance they could get away with more since people would flock to theaters anyway.

This trailer has “meh” all over it. Animation looks like a direct-to-DVD budget. I’m also a bit peeved because there’s a lot of canon material that the Oz books that could be used
instead. “Return to Oz”, anyone? Mombi who could remove her head, the Wheelers,
the Gnome King who could turn you into a knickknack? Those were freaking but
adventure-worthy antagonists and there’s plenty more in the books. It’s a pity because there are some great ideas that turn out half-baked.
