Brave was one of the biggest losers of 2012, losing more than 30 nominations to several awards. Ralph won dozens of awards, as Paranorman did, Frankenweenie was called the greatest Burton film in years! Brave was a big fail in allot of ways, the story was a robbed copy paste from Disney and Ghibli films, they even dared to steal some dialogue lines exactly the way they were written. The animation wasn’t all that great, the design wasn’t interesting or appealing. The backgrounds were simply realistic and not artistic, like the ones on Tangled. The score wasn’t all that great, nor the songs. The whole values surrounding Merida are the worst I have ever seen on a character since Derek from Rich’s The Swan Princess. She is truly the worst, most selfish and cruel female character I have ever seen on a lead. Ralph was an incredibly well written script, had great visuals, great animation, and wit. Tangled was a million times than Brave will ever ever be, and wasn’t even nominated for best animated picture. Suck them, I lost my belief in Oscars forever. True Winners have to be 100 million times better than any other nominated to win, and even so, doesn’t happens often. How could I See The Light lost to that forgettable song played on the credits of Toy Story 3? How could Mary Poppins lose the academy award for best film to the boredom that is My Fair Lady (film, the stage show is incredible and a masterpiece) there is no justice.To heck with them, Brave winning the oscar was as hard to swallow as Merida becoming a Disney Princess when she isn’t even a Disney character.
