I know that nobody will probably care, but the little mermaid didn't commit suicide at the end of the original story, it was that the witch gave her a condition: If the little mermaid marries the prince, a part of his soul will become a part of hers, but if he marries somebody else, she would turn into sea foam the morning after he married the other person. So her death was actually inevitable. Sorry, the Fairy tale nerd in me came out....

Ah, the start of the Disney revival. This is one of my all-time favorites and I remember the first time I saw it in theaters. The songs, colors, and emotions hold the entire story together AND Disney sees the fairy tale story through to the end.

Ursula is also one of my favorite baddies because she knows how to use her magic to the most of her abilities and sings. There's nothing like a song to get the message across, "I am the greatest in the world!" like a Disney villain song.
