I don’t remember the film, but I’ve never really “loved” LAIKA or any of their films, although they’re not bad. I agree with Chelsea on this film especially the nude scene.

You guys were wondering if the zooming and the panning was done in post production since this movie was stop motion. Well, they actually use a motion control camera that is controlled by a computer. They can program the camera moves in real time and then the computer will reset the camera and move it just a little bit at a time as the animators are working frame by frame. So when you play it all back at full speed, you get the zoom and pan effect. They explain all of this on the Nightmare Before Christmas DVD in the “Making Of” documentary in the Special Features.
