Well im almost five years late but still what a great discussion on one of the films I constantly watched as child. Always been a fan of Bluths work. Rock a Doodle as a film had its flaws but it was always entertaining. Sad to hear what has happened to Glen Campbell recently. Many people suffer from Alzhiemers. Pity it happened to such a talented human being like him. Ill always remember him for the positive impact he has had in my life.

Great review, I laughed more in this episode than any others so far!

As you may know already (well, I know Morgan knows this :P ), I'm not really a fan of Don Bluth's. Yeah, I'm weird! I know that his movies are generally divided into his generally deemed good phase ('The Secret of NIMH', 'An American Tail', 'The Land Before Time', 'All Dogs Go To Heaven', and later, 'Anastasia') as well as his generally deemed bad phase ('Rock-a-Doodle', 'Thumbelina', 'A Troll in Central Park', 'The Pebble and the Penguin', 'Titan AE'). And I don't even "like" any of his films from his good phase.

The reason I bring this up is that even though this movie, 'Rock-a-Doodle', is from his generally deemed bad phase, I personally don't dislike it as much as I feel the general public/critics do. Does that make sense? Like I said, I don't like it as I don't "like" any Don Bluth film, but I do dislike this one much less than how I see other people disliking it.

Yes, I find the animation choppy and sub-par, the songs totally forgettable (Sorry, Chelsea!), and the storyline and plotholes too gleaming to ignore, but there's just something about the movie that makes it entertaining to me, not enough to make me like it, but just enough to make me dislike it much less!

Oh, and Mason, gravity falls at 9.81 m/s^2, not 9.81 m/s. I used to be an engineering major, so my physics teachers made sure to jam that fact into our heads sooooo often, lol!
