Great podcast, especially for your first one!

My favorite animated film from 2011 was "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn". I'm a huge fan of the "Tintin" books and thought that Steven Spielberg did an incredible job with the source material. And the motion capture looked amazing!

My least favorite animated film from 2011 was a hard choice, because there were a few animated films that I didn't like. But if I had to pick LEAST favorite, it would probably have been "Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil". I loved the first "Hoodwinked!" film, but this one was just...sooo forgettable. I remember the jokes being bad, the story being bad, and me just not liking it at all.

I'm glad you all started with "Beauty and the Beast". It's my favorite film from the animated Disney Canon. And I too would give it 5 stars. My favorite song from it (as well as from the entire Disney Canon) is "Be Our Guest". I'm not a fan of the "Beauty and the Beast" title song, maybe it's because it's too slow for me. But I love all the other songs.

I like "Human Again" as a song, but as one of my friends said, it brings too many songs back-to-back when introduced in the film. First you have "Something There", then directly following it is "Human Again", and then directly following it is "Beauty and the Beast". So its inclusion in the film is kinda sloppy and doesn't give time and space for the film to breathe.

I too wanted to know more about what happened to the Enchantress. I actually chose her as the forgotten/minor character for this film in my Disney Canon-Forgotten/Minor Characters Project on my blog. (You can check it here: http://markb4.wordpress.com/2013/04/11/forgottenminor-characters-30-the-old-beggar-womanthe-beautiful-enchantress/ ).

One thing I liked about the live-action film, "Beastly", (well perhaps the only thing I liked about it) was that they actually show the enchantress at the end of the film smiling when the "Beast" has learned his lesson and ending the curse.

I don't like either sequels of "Beauty and the Beast". There is also a "Beauty and the Beast III: Belle's Magical World", but I don't consider it "Beauty and the Beast III"; I just see it as a random direct-to-DVD movie that should not be numbered.

Just listen to this podcast and liked it very much, however, there was one part where you mentioned that you couldn't watch the Beauty and the Beast Platinum edition without being forced to watch "Human Again." Well, the DVD actually had 3 different versions of the film: The Original Theatrical Edition, Anniversary Edition, and the Work in Progress Edition. Human Again was only in the Anniversary Edition, however, you could watch the Original Theatrical Edition without the added song. Just wanted to throw that out there. Love the podcasts!
