Bone fans rejoice: Netflix is set to produce an animated show of the popular comic book series! Over the years, other companies, such as Nickelodeon and Warner Bros., have attempted to bring Bone to the screen. The most exciting piece of this news, Cartoon Brew reports, is the plan to produce Bone in 2D animation instead of CGI.

“I’ve waited a long time for this,” said Bone creator Jeff Smith. “Netflix is the perfect home for Bone. Fans of the books know that the story develops chapter by chapter and book by book. An animated series is exactly the way to do this! The team at Netflix understands Bone and is committed to doing something special.”
There is no date yet for when Bone may be released, but it’s good to hear that the beloved comic book series is coming back again!
