Tessa Thomspon and Thomas Mann have joined the cast of the Lady and the Tramp live-action remake.

Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, will voice Lady. Mann, who starred in Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, will play Jim Dear, Lady’s owner. Other cast members include Justin Theroux as Tramp, Kiersey Clemons as Jim Dear’s wife, Darling, Benedict Wong as Bull the English bulldog and Ashley Jensen as Jackie, the female version of Jock the Scottish Terrier from the 1955 original.

Charlie Bean, who helmed 2017’s The Lego Ninjago Movie, will direct. The movie will feature a blend of CGI dogs and live-action actors.

Lady and the Tramp will premiere in 2019 on Disney’s unnamed streaming service.

What do you think about this casting? Are you excited for the Lady and the Tramp remake?
