The Star Wars franchise takes on a new style of animation and the new trilogy era in the first trailer for upcoming series Star Wars Resistance.
The anime-inspired show, which was announced in April, takes place before The Force Awakens and follows the adventures of Kazuda Xiono as he serves the Resistance. Check out the trailer below:
Xiono is voiced by Days of Our Lives actor Christopher Sean. Yeager is voiced by JAG’s Scott Lawrence, Neeku is voiced by Silicon Valley’s Josh Brener and Tam is voiced by EastEnders’ Suzie McGrath, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie will reprise their live-action roles as Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, respectively, on the animated show. Rachel Butera of Tammy’s Tiny Tea Time will voice General Leia Organa.
Star Wars Resistance premieres October 7 on Disney Channel before airing remaining episodes on Disney XD.
