The teaser trailer for the upcoming animated film, Wonder Park, has debuted.
Produced by Paramount Animation in conjunction with Nickelodeon Movies and Ilion Animation Studios, Wonder Park tells the story of an abandoned amusement park discovered by a young girl named June. However, the amusement park (which is called Wonderland in the trailer, despite the title of the film being Wonder Park), is only alive in June’s imagination, hence the fate of the park and its wonder lies in June’s hands alone.
The film is noteworthy for undergoing a couple of cast changes during its production. Actor Jeffrey Tambor was originally set to lend his voice to one of the film’s characters, but after sexual harassment complaints were made against him, he was replaced by Ken Hudson Campbell. Also, Dylan Brown was the original director of this film (then under the title, Amusement Park), but after inappropriate conduct complaints were made against him, he was replaced by David Feiss (Open Season: Scared Silly).
The film is produced by Josh Appelbaum (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows), André Nemec (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows), and Kendra Haaland (The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning). The film’s voice cast includes Jennifer Garner, Matthew Broderick, Ken Hudson Campbell, Kenan Thompson, Mila Kunis, Ken Jeong, and John Oliver.
Wonder Park will be released in cinemas on March 15, 2019.
