Singer Justin Bieber will lend his world famous voice to an animated version of Cupid in a film featuring the Roman god of love. Bieber will also executive produce alongside producers Scooter Braun and David Maisel.
The film is being developed by Mythos Studios, which was co-founded in March by Braun, Bieber’s manager and the founder of SB Projects, and Maisel, the former and founding Marvel Studios chairman. Maisel most recently executive produced 2016’s The Angry Birds Movie, and he also served as executive producer for Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and Iron Man 2. Braun, in addition to working with Bieber in the realm of his singing career, also helped Bieber produce the pop star’s 2011 documentary Never Say Never.
Bieber posted the above photo to his Twitter and Instagram Tuesday, and some fans were quick to notice that Cupid has Bieber’s wings tattoo on his neck. However, that’s not the only similarity Bieber shares with his character, as Braun told Variety that “like Cupid, he knows a little bit about love and mischief.”
No official release date nor official title for the Cupid film has been announced.
