Veteran shows dominated on the Television side as six shows were nominated:

  • BoJack Horseman (Netflix)
  • Danger & Eggs (Amazon)
  • Rick and Morty (Adult Swim, Cartoon Network)

I could never take the TV nominations especially animation, seriously. its always the same shows. I bet Archer will win again.

  • Renard N. Bansale

I hope the Academy’s animation branch will stay away from Despicable Me 3 and The Lego Batman Movie.

    • Manuel Orozco

Why do you think for Lego Batman?

  • It’s a solid list and I’d imagine the Oscars and
Golden Globes will have a similar list. But I must
say that it’s really cool to see Remember Me get
nominated. It’s a beautiful and emotional song.

Does Despicable Me 3 really deserve a nomination over Captain Underpants? That’s the only thing about the list I have a problem with. I’m happy to see the Broadcast Film Critics Association remember about the brilliance of Lego Batman, though. I hope it gets an Oscar nomination.

  • Manuel Orozco

Not that I will watch the award show but I will be okay if either Coco, Lego Batman or Despicable Me 3 wins. All three are on par with each other despite certain differences.
