Earlier this week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the ten animated short films that are moving forward in the voting process for the upcoming 90th Annual Academy Awards next year.
In total, 63 short films qualified for consideration and members of the Short Films and Feature Animation branch will choose the final five nominees in the Best Animated Short Film category that will be officially announced on January 23rd, 2018, also known as Nomination Tuesday. The ceremony will be held on March 4th, 2018.
