This makes me sad inside. Why Dreamworks? So lame

    • Manuel Orozco

DreamWorks hasn’t one Netflix show that interested me since Turbo Fast.

      • Rachel Wagner

        I liked Trollhunters and Voltron

        • Manuel Orozco

No thank you. Also I lost interest in Turbo Fast after watching a bit of Season 2. But I did love the movie of Turbo.

        • ValkarieandherInventorChief

Loved Trollhunters it really thrilled me. Meh on Voltron. I actually got Netflix due to Race to the edge and it hasn’t stopped impressing me yet 🙂

    • Manuel Orozco

Also Rachel I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 last night. Wasn’t as awesome as the original but was still entertaining

      • Rachel Wagner

Yeah I was a little disappointed but still fun parts

        • Manuel Orozco

I agree. I was mostly disappointed Ego (spoiler alert) was actually the bad guy. I thought you like to know anyway. The fun parts even included the jokes. B overall grade

    • Because DW just had to have another show and somehow, try to tie it in with
with an existing movie of theirs. My biggest issue is the sub-par 3D animation.

      • Rachel Wagner

? Yeah it looks awful and original is so stunning

    • dlizsehshus

      Lame for what exactly?

      • Rachel Wagner

So lame to take one of their most bold and artistic films and turn it into a lazily drawn series for kids…

        • dlizsehshus

First off its CGI not drawn. And if you worked in animation its no where close to being lazy its hard work. If you want this to look like the movie. Than by all means fork over $80 million so that the tv series looks exactly like the movie.

Secondly so what? Is this going to erase that film some how? I never got that angry geek theory where a film is going to disappear because they did a sequel to it. The original will always be there.

And finally the original was a big bomb at the box office. Im happy Dreamworks remembers the film fondly enough that they are willing to do spinoff with it.

  • Manuel Orozco

As much as Spirit brings back memories of seeing it twice in theatres in the summer of 2002, I’m not sure if I’m up for a little reunion. Happy 15th anniversary anyway.

  • I had no clue about this prior, but this is a weird choice to turn Spirit into a show like this….
    I just find it a bit odd….

      Barbie Horse Adventures

  • Eep

After watching first two episodes, I really like this show. I was sure it will be terrible, but after I learned it won’t be a sequel but rather a spin-off and the Spirit on this show is not the same horse but rather the descendant of him, I wanted to give it a chance. I am not disappointed, the writing is pretty good and it has the quality you wouldn’t expect for the children show of this genre.

    • Manuel Orozco

I was given the impression it will be same old Spirit but I didn’t think of that. I didn’t even check out the trailer.
