These are just a few of the kind (and not-so-kind) words lifted from the comment section of the non-spoiler review/discussion thread for Sausage Party. In that article, I gave the platform to our readers (you know who you are) and told you to give your own review of the movie.
Now I turn to you again, a week after that article and two weeks after the film has bowed in theaters, to let you know that you can now review and discuss the movie in the comment section below with NO restraint on spoilers (if you couldn’t tell from the title).
So once again, what did you think? What were the most violent scenes in the movie? What were the grossest scenes in the movie? What were your thoughts about the infamous ‘victory orgy’ sequence near the end of the movie? Was the movie as offensive as you feared (or hoped) it would be? Did you agree with the film’s message about religion? What about its subtle (and not-so-subtle) satirical riffing on feature animation tropes? Did the ending of the movie (Frank and his friends invade the real world and try to kill their ‘creators’) say anything about either religion or the current state of the animation industry?
Sound off below, and remember that this is a SPOILER thread! So if you’ve seen the movie, don’t hold back!
Final warning: there will be SPOILERS beyond this point! Don’t scroll down if you haven’t seen the movie!
