With the release of Batman: The Killing Joke, Warner Brothers Animation has announced the next three upcoming films for its DC Universe animated movies. Warner Brothers Animation closed its Batman: The Killing Joke panel by announcing that the next DC direct to video film would be Justice League Dark, followed by an adaptation of Titan Titans: The Judas Contract, and finally a Batman and Harley Quinn movie.
Justice League Dark had been rumored for months now, but this is the first official confirmation of the film’s existence. Not much is known about the project, only that it was confirmed to star both John Constantine and Swamp Thing. Justice League Dark centers around the supernatural heroes of the DC universe coming together to defend the world of magical threats. The film is scheduled for release in the fall of 2016.
Teen Titans: The Judas Contract will adapt one of DC’s most celebrated storylines and is slotted for release in 2017. It is still unknown whether this will be a standalone movie like Batman: The Killing Joke or a continuation from Justice League vs. Teen Titans. The original comic arc was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez.
Lastly, we have Bruce Timm returning for the Batman and Harley Quinn movie. The movie will be an original story created by Timm himself and will be released by the summer of 2017.
