The Peanuts Movie opened to positive reviews in November, and while there is a slim chance of the film getting a sequel, as is the Hollywood norm, it looks like the gang will be getting a TV show, and soon!

On May 9th at 10:30 am, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest will be back to their baseball and failed kite-flying attempts. Peanuts will be debuting on Boomerang, an offshoot of Cartoon Network focused on children’s programming. The show was originally aired in 2014 overseas and was made of animated vignettes by Normaal Animation, a French studio. The shorts were based on the original comic strip and characters and will have no relation to the events in the movie. They are comprised of 500 ninety-second shorts and 104 seven-minute blocks.

While the movie was CGI-animated, these cartoons will be more in the style of the original show, with a watercolor look to please fans, both old and new. The episodes can also be seen on the Cartoon Network app.

Will you be tuning in to see Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts?
