DreamWorks has booked quite a lot of success with its animated Netflix series. The studio has done quite a few shows that continue the stories of some of its most popular animated movies as well as some new, original content. Today, it was announced that later this year the studio will add a new show, based off 2015’s Home, to this list.
The new show, titled Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh will start streaming on Netflix on July 29, 2016. The film’s original voice cast included Rihanna and Jim Parsons in the title roles of Tip and Oh. In this new show, however, they will be replaced with Rachel Crow and Mark Whitten. Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids, Ugly Betty), Ron Funches (Get Hard, Undateable), and Matt Jones (Breaking Bad, Mom) will also voice characters on the show.
The show will continue where the movie left off, as Oh moves in with Tip and her human family and finally discovers the true meaning of home. The show will also include a variation of new original songs performed by teen-singing sensation Rachel Crow (Rio 2, X Factor).
The first season will be available exclusively to Netflix members in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux, and France starting July 29.
