Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the directors of the acclaimed The LEGO Movie, are delving into animation again, this time for television as they team up with Fox to create Son of Zorn.

Son of Zorn will incorporate animation and live-action. Zorn is a warrior, and will be voiced by Jason Sudeikis. He comes from a magical world that is completely animated and returns to Earth after fighting for a decade. His return involves him attempting to reconnect to his live-action son, Alan (Johnny Pemberton), and ex-wife, Edie (Cheryl Hines.)

Miller and Lord are producing the series, with Reed Agnew and Eli Jorne writing and acting as showrunners. Both Miller and Lord are incredibly busy, so hopefully they are choosing projects carefully to best show off their talents. Son of Zorn will premiere as part of the 2016/2017 lineup on Fox.

What do you think of this idea? Is ‘Son of Zorn’ a show you will tune in for?

Her older sister spawned her love of animation by dragging her downstairs at 2 a.m. every morning and making her watch various films until their parents took them back to bed. Some of her all-time favorite films include Mulan, The LEGO Movie, Up, Tangled, and The Lion King.
