It may be short, but that hasn’t stopped Frozen Fever from making waves. The short film follow-up to Frozen, which premiered theatrically with Cinderella last March, will soon make the leap to airwaves.
Disney Channel will host the broadcast debut of Frozen Fever on Sunday, November 29, during a special screening of its summer hit Descendants at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Before Frozen Fever the cast of the network’s series Best Friends Whenever will showcase their own version of “Making Today a Perfect Day,” the main song from Frozen Fever, in a new music video. It will air Friday, November 13, after a new episode of Girl Meets World at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
This isn’t the first time Frozen inspired a Disney Channel rendition. In summer 2014, two dozen of the network’s stars came together to record a new version of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”
In October, Frozen Fever became available for streaming on Netflix as part of Walt Disney Animation Studios Short Film Collection, which landed on Blu-ray last August.
This Sunday, the short’s snowgie characters will join Olaf as the spotlight for the 2015 holiday season Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom trading card, available exclusively at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World.
Are you excited for Frozen Fever to join the rotation of interstitial shorts on Disney Channel? Will you listen to the new cover of “Making Today a Perfect Day”?
