New ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Poster and Information!

Good-Dinosaur-concept-art

Yahoo! Movies got to interview The Good Dinosaur’s director, Peter Sohn, and he revealed a ton of new information about the second movie Pixar will release this year. There is also a new teaser trailer for the movie, which we’ll include right here for your convenience.

During the interview, which you can find here, Sohn said the movie is basically a “boy and his dog” story, Arlo, the Apatosaurus (Lucas Neff), being the boy and Spot, the human, being the dog. Spot won’t be Pixar’s most articulate character to date. He will be very animalistic and feral.

In The Good Dinosaur Arlo is trying to find his way back to his family, with whom he was separated, when he meets Spot. The pair then have to face nature as an antagonist. This also means the backdrops for the film will be the most realistic Pixar has ever done, as seen in the trailer.

In the interview, Sohn explains:

“We’ve been trying to find physical obstacles and and emotional obstacles for our main character, and nature can represent both… In a lot of the research that we’ve done, going out into the Northwest and out into the wilderness, I cannot tell you how beautiful and scary it can be, and how quickly nature can just turn on you. And we’re trying to finding the truth in that in terms of Arlo’s growth.”

Finally, here’s the new poster! The Good Dinosaur hits theaters November 25th!
