A new animated DC movie, Batman vs. Robin, has found the voices for its cast of characters. Voicing the role of Batman is Jason O’Mara, who also lent his voice to the character in Justice League: War. O’Mara is also currently appearing in Sons of Liberty on the History Channel in which he plays George Washington. Stuart Allan (Rise of the Guardians) and Sean Maher, who has appeared as Shrapnel on CW’s Arrow, will voice Robin and Nightwing, respectively. David McCallum will also return to voice Alfred.
These actors previously gave their voice talents in Son of Batman (2014), another animated film by DC. Batman vs. Robin is the follow-up to the film, and is inspired by the comic Batman: The Court of Owls, by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.
Newcomers to the cast include Jeremy Sisto (Suburgatory), who will voice Talon, and Grey Griffin (previously known as Grey DeLisle) will voice a character named Samantha. Griffin has voice credits in several cartoon roles, most notably in The Book of Life and the voice of Daphne Blake in several Scooby-Doo films. Dollmaker, son of a cannibalistic serial killer and the villain of the film, will be voiced by singer/comedian Weird Al Yankovic.
Kevin Conroy, who previously voiced Batman in Batman: The Animated Series, as well as several other Batman-related projects over the last 20 years, will have a cameo as Bruce Wayne’s father, Thomas.
Batman vs. Robin is directed by Jay Olivia, with a script by J.M. DeMatteis and James Tucker producing. Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Entertainment are producing the film, set for release this spring. The film will be premiered at WonderCon, which will be held on April 3rd through 5th in Anaheim, California.
