‘Big Hero 6’ Hits Blu-ray and DVD This February

We finally have an official release date for Disney’s newest animated hit, Big Hero 6 on Blu-ray, and it seems we’ll be able to get our hands on it a little earlier than usual!

The film will be available on HD Digital and Disney Movies Anywhere as early as February 3rd, while the Blu-ray and DVD editions will be available for purchase from February 24th. Check out the covers below.

Here is a list of all the super cool Bonus Features you can find on the Blu-ray and DVD:

Digital Download, Blu-ray Combo Pack & Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA):

  • FEAST: Theatrical Short
  • “The Origin Story of Big Hero 6: Hiro’s Journey (hosted by Jamie Chung): Go behind the scenes with the team of Big Hero 6 they travel to Tokyo and San Fransisco to research the cities that were combined to form San Fransokyo. Also, learn more about the comic book origins of the movie,  the robots that inspired Baymax, and all the inspiration that went into the making of the film.
  • Big Animator 6: The Characters Behind The Characters: Something all animation buffs will enjoy, a discussion with the six lead animators of Big Hero 6 about each of the six main characters of the film and how they became the heroes we know and love.
  • Deleted Scenes (Intro by Directors Don Hall and Chris Williams)
  • Big Hero Secrets (Easter Egg): In this Easter Egg about Easter Eggs, join Baymax on a quest to uncover all the hidden Disney references in the film (Blu-ray Only)
  • Gag Animations (Intro by Directors Don Hall and Chris Williams): A few gag animations were created which were thrown into the mix at review sessions. Join the directors for a special look at these gags. (Disney Movies Anywhere Only)
  • Beatmax: Some of Baymax’s lines have been auto-tuned like you’ve never heard them before. (Disney Movies Anywhere Only)

The Blu-ray edition features an exciting bonus feature highlighting all the Easter Eggs found throughout the film. For example, you know there was a picture of Hans (from Frozen) in the police station, but did you know that Olaf the snowman and a ship from Arendelle make an appearance too? It’s all teased in the promo video below:
