armikrog_video_game_pencil_test_studiosA new game called Armikrog is currently in production from Pencil Test Studios founders Mike Dietz, Ed Schofield and Earthworm Jim creator Doug TenNapel. The game will be made using stop-motion clay animation.

The point-and-click adventure game is about a space explorer named Tommynaut who is locked in a mysterious fortress called Armikrog. A few known voice talents have signed up for the project, including Michael J. Nelson (Mystery Science Theater 3000) who will voice Tommynaut, and Rob Paulson (Pinky and the Brain) who will voice his blind dog companion, Beak-Beak.

The single-player game will be available on platforms OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Wii U and PlayStation 4. Thanks to the help of its Kickstarter campaign, which exceeded its budget of $900,000, the game will be released in early 2015.

What do you think about Armikrog? How do you feel about the use of claymation for a video game?
