Blue Dream Studios Offers ‘Animal Crackers’

animal-crackers-poster

From sites such as Deadline, we learn about an upcoming animated film entitled Animal Crackers. The Spanish Blue Dream Studios (that name reminds me of something)’s film is about a family who inherits a rundown circus and some magical animal crackers that transform the person who eats them into the animal that he/she has eaten.

Animorphs and Manimal come to mind.

The film, scheduled for a 2016 release date (according to IMDB), is being directed by Scott Christian Sava and Tony Bancroft. One might recognize the latter as co-director of Mulan as well as animator for a number of Disney films including Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.

We are also informed of the voice cast including Ian McKellan, Danny DeVito, Sylvester Stallone, Gilbert Gottfried, Patrick Warburton, Raven-Symoné, Harvey Fierstein, James Arnold Taylor, Tara Strong, and Lydia Taylo.

I, for one, am quite interested in this film as I find the story quite captivating. Imagine having the power to transform into any animal that you want to via crackers? This premise alone is so creative and imaginative that it’s no wonder they decided to make this an animated film. I just wonder whether they’re gonna cast Gilbert Gottfried as another bird?

Yes, he has experience voicing birds, but still!
