Fans of Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands will be delighted to hear that the movie is getting its own comic book miniseries.
The four issues, produced by IDW Publishing, will be set five decades after the events of the 1990 movie. The story will focus on the immortal Edward as he still hides in isolation carving out ice sculptures of his lost love, Kim, who has long since passed away. Kim’s granddaughter, Megs, will also feature in the story as she searches for ‘the truth’ about Edward.
Kate Leth, known for his work on the cartoon series Adventure Time, is the story writer and Drew Rausch is the illustrator. The comic is said to be just as dark and romantic as Tim Burton’s gothic modern-day fairytale.
The first issue is available now at Amazon!
