Betty Boop Feature Film In The Works!

Betty Boop Simon Cowell
If you’re a fan of the classic animated character, Betty Boop, then you’re in for good news! According to various news sites including Variety, the 1920’s flapper is set to star in her own feature film. And who’s behind the project? None other than the man everyone loves to hate, Simon Cowell.

Mr. Cowell’s company, Syco Entertainment, is partnering with the Australian animation company, Animal Logic, to make a “music-driven hybrid animated comedy” based on the Betty Boop character. Animal Logic has previously done animation work for films such as The LEGO Movie, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.

This would not be the first time that a film based on Betty Boop has been in the making. After having a cameo in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a full-length feature film entitled The Betty Boop Movie was in production in 1993, but was sadly canceled. Let’s see if this film will make it to the big screen!

Are you excited for a Betty Boop feature film? Are you a fan of the Betty Boop character? What do you think of Simon Cowell being behind its production? Let us know in the comments below!
