Now we’re talking.
Following a massive surge of popularity leading to a disappointing Blu-ray release in terms of bonus features, we’ll finally have a comprehensive look into the making of Frozen.
The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic is set to air on September 2 on ABC.
Disney Insider promises it to be the definitive behind-the-scenes tour of all aspects of production, from literary inspiration to Norwegian research trips and everything in between. Interviews will include Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, John Lasseter, Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee, Peter Del Vecho, Robert Lopez, and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Also providing insight will be art director Mike Giaimo and animators. Just throw in Uncle Walt and we’d have ourselves a good, old-fashioned Wonderful World of Color.
Always the masters of synergy, Disney’s TV special will also be a celebration of everything else happening within Walt Disney Animation Studios. Included within the hour will be a sneak peek of Big Hero 6, an exclusive clip of Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff on Once Upon a Time, and “exciting announcements about the next chapter of Frozen.”
You can catch The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic will air Tuesday, September 2, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
