Indie-mation is a new space on the Rotoscopers website that focuses on the Independent Animation world. While the site has always covered a lot of wonderful larger studios (Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks and everything in between!), we’ve never had an official space for some of the smaller independently produced films….until NOW!

Think of Indie-mation as the local watering hole for independent animation, the local cafe around the corner where you can meet with like-minded individuals and exchange information on the latest animated indie film you fell in love with, or that really sweet documentary on that film you’ve always loved. Or if you are an animator, a way to meet other people in your industry, to see what other people are working on, and for giving and getting support from each other.

The best part of Indie-mation, is that it will be housed within the larger Rotoscopers website, so you can get all of your animation fix in one spot. Say you’re feeling more mainstream; you can hang out on the main page where you can find all of the site’s latest news. But what if you want something a little bit underground, “indie” if you will? Then head over to the Indie-mation section and check out the latest news and opinion articles.

Now, because part of being an independently produced animated film means marketing at a smaller scale, we will be depending on YOU for help. If you find a film you would like us to cover, or better yet, if you have made a film you would like us to help you promote with an article during your festival run, feel free to send the info over to contact@rotoscopers.com.

How do you feel about the new Indie-mation space on the Rotoscopers website? Are you excited to discover something new, and see what other young filmmakers are working on?
