DreamWorks Animation has a big line up of films releasing over the next few years. With around three new movies each year we have a lot to look forward to, one of these is called Trolls, an animated musical-comedy based off the popular Troll dolls.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of DreamWorks Animation the ACMI in Melbourne opened an exhibition that displays the art and technology behind DreamWorks Animation and to promote the exhibition, the studio started a blog on Tumblr where it regularly gives a look inside the offices of the DreamWorks artists. While I was going through the page, I found some pictures of Kendal Cronkhite’s (Production Designer of the Madagascar Trilogy) office and these pictures turned out to feature some concept art for an upcoming animated feature Trolls. The concept art gives a first look at the characters, world and colors of this comedy musical and it looks surprisingly good, colorful and fun!
Earlier, DreamWorks Animation announced that Mike Mitchell and Erica Rivinoja have been hired to direct and write the movie and that Chloe Grace Moretz and Jason Schwartzman are voicing the main characters. DreamWorks also teamed up with Hasbro to provide toys and other merchandise for this and next year’s B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations.
DreamWorks’ Trolls is set to release November 4, 2016
