Check Out Snotlout’s Stache in New ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ Poster

A few weeks ago DreamWorks released a new character poster of its upcoming animated feature How to Train Your Dragon 2 each week. But unfortunately after four character posters, it stopped releasing them leaving us without posters of many of the main characters; however, today it finally continued and we have our first look at Snotlout’s new design.

HTTYD2-Snotlout-poster

We already had a quick look at Snotlout in the first trailer of How to Train Your Dragon 2, but it was so quick, we couldn’t really see all the details and changes in his design. Of course, like many of the other male characters, the main design tweak is his mustache. It’s not a real mustache, but just a few little scraggly hairs. Maybe it’s just because this poster is so HD that you can literally see every little detail. That being said, I really like his design, it’s not over the top (except for maybe that stache), but he looks great anyway.

The details on Snotlout and his dragon are extraordinary. The hair looks so much better and more realistic than in the first movie. The textures on his dragon look so realistic that I almost can’t believe this is animation and not real life. Overall this poster is just as beautiful as the earlier released posters.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is the second film in the DreamWorks Dragons trilogy. This second film will continue five years after the first film ended and this time we will see Hiccup as a teenager. While Astrid and the others are challenging each other to Dragon races, Hiccup and his friend Toothless are exploring the world. When they discover a secret ice cave, they realize it’s home to hundreds of new wild dragons and a mysterious Dragon rider.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 will release in theatres June 13, 2014
