According to Animation Magazine, the Japanese-based CG animation company, Marza Animation Planet, has recently added voice actors to its debut feature-film, Robodog.

Ron Perlman and Chris Colfer have joined the film voicing a real dog and a robotic dog, respectively. We don’t have much info about the plot other than the film will focus on the adventures they have together and their developing friendship.

Marza Animation Planet is a relatively new company that has mainly worked on video games including a few Sonic games. They’ve also worked on a feature film entitled, Space Pirate Captain Harlock Movie (a film based on the manga character of the same name). But the success (or lack thereof) of the upcoming Robodog will decide whether or not this company will have footing in Western cinemas and Western culture.

What do you think of the film? Are you excited for it or not? How do you feel about Marza Animation Planet? Let us know in the comments below!
